Bob Arceneaux, owner of Orleans Coffee, Parish Coffee, and La Rive Kombucha, became interested in wine while in college in the early 80’s. The Wine Spectator magazine was in its infancy and had little content compared to the last 20 years. But Bob soaked it all up learning about wine, beer, spirits, etc…

 

He learned how to properly taste wine and develop a palette for sensory perception. This skill transferred very well to 30+ years in the coffee roasting business, where he's been roasting, buying and cupping coffee.

 

Learning how to identify qualities or a lack thereof in coffee is imperative. In addition to coffee, Bob's companies also sell premium loose teas, and Bob knows you must have quality teas in order to produce a quality kombucha. This background knowledge led to the creation of La Rive Kombucha.
